The Mix Marketecture is a visual information architecture designed to demystify the end-to-end technology stack behind Nuance Mix—a platform for building conversational AI solutions. Created in collaboration with engineers and product teams, it illustrates how core services like ASR, NLU, and dialog tooling connect to form a cohesive solution. Visually aligned with the Mix brand, the marketecture helped unify internal understanding, accelerate onboarding, and support go-to-market storytelling across technical and non-technical audiences.
The challenge
A visual strategy to communicate and clarify Mix's value across technical and non-technical teams.
The problem
As Mix grew more complex, teams struggled to communicate how its components worked together as an end-to-end solution. Without a clear, accessible visual, it was difficult to convey its value to business stakeholders—especially those without technical expertise.
The goal
To design a marketecture diagram that clearly illustrates how the Mix technology stack delivers an optimized end-to-end conversational AI solution. The goal was to align with Mix’s brand identity while supporting both technical and non-technical audiences.
The Approach
A strategic, collaborative process to simplify and structure the Mix ecosystem.
Information Architecture
Mapped key components and data flows through a system audit and structured them into a layered architecture aligned with real-world client implementations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partnered with engineers to ensure technical accuracy. Refined the diagram’s storytelling to meet the needs of both internal and external audiences.
Visual Design
Applied Mix brand guidelines to create visually engaging diagrams. Used color, layout, and spatial hierarchy to clarify system flow and relationships.
My Contribution
I led the end-to-end design of the Mix Marketecture, translating technical complexity into clear, scalable, brand-aligned visual storytelling.
